Product Description

Our Cask Strength Vintages are released in small batches and bottled at their natural cask strength, offering bold, concentrated flavours to the whisky.

The Cask Strength Vintage 2013, Batch 01, offers a “direct from the cask” experience transporting you into one of our traditional dunnage warehouses. This release has matured for a decade in exclusively first-fill sherry and bourbon casks, creating stewed fruit aromas, autumnal spices, Seville orange zest, toasted oak, Morello cherry and soft smoke on the finish.

Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 59.7% alcohol-by-volume (abv), the colour is light mahogany derived from the finest oak casks.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Light Mahogany.

Aroma

Rich autumnal spices and stewed fruit aromas with hazelnuts. Fruit cake gives way to vanilla pod and mature oak.

Palate

Seville orange zest leads to dark chocolate and subtle black pepper flavours. Forest fruit combines with brown sugar.

Finish

Long and full with sweet Morello cherry and soft smoke.

We suggest tasting this Cask Strength Vintage slowly and neat first, then adding water to dilute and enhance the aromas and flavours.
