Experience one of our oldest and rarest releases. Matured for 50 years in the finest sherry casks, made by hand, shaped by time.

Launched in 2024, this highly limited-edition 50 Year Old Benromach single malt Scotch whisky was half a century in the making.

Filled in 1972 and left to mature for five decades, the influence of the sherry seasoned oak casks and our Benromach spirit, has beautifully created flavours of stewed fruit and orange zest, followed by strawberry and fruitcake flavours. The finish is long and full, with cracked black pepper and a subtle hint of Benromach’s signature smoke.

DECANTER NUMBER 1

 

Decanter Number 1 comes with a unique Benromach 50 print, and a special ‘Distiller for a day’ experience at our distillery where you can join the team, learn firsthand how we make our award-winning whiskies, and taste a dram of the Benromach 50*.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep Amber.

Aroma

Smooth citrus peel with hints of strawberry and a touch of smoke. Pineapple notes comes to the fore, alongside fruitcake and a dash of lemon sherbet.

Palate

Stewed fruit aromas are complemented by orange zest and a hint of aged leather. Medjool dates and flambéed banana give way to toasted almonds.

Finish

Full and long finish with cracked black pepper and a wisp of smoke.
