Family-owned whisky specialist Gordon & MacPhail has won a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade, following a 94 per cent increase in the value of total exports over the last five years.
The Elgin-based whisky wholesaler, bottler and retailer, which also owns the Benromach Distillery, currently exports around 60 per cent of all its bottled products.Read more
Three Swedish whisky ambassadors are set to share the secret of Speyside’s smallest distillery following a unique programme seeing them become Honorary Stillmen of Benromach for a day.
The ladies are winners of the inaugural Benromach Fellowship Award 2011 which allows them to travel to the distillery and be exclusively trained in the production of its single malt whisky by its two master distillers. The Benromach Fellowship award recognises individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the promotion and endorsement of Scotch Whisky in Sweden.Read more
Speyside's smallest distillery has revealed the first bottling of its ten-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
Benromach distillery, in Forres, has launched Benromach 10 Years Old, a golden malt with rich fruit, sweet chocolate and delicate spicy aromas.
The distillery went through many changes of ownership and closures before being 'rescued' and restored by Gordon & MacPhail in 1993 and was officially opened by the Prince of Wales in 1998.Read more

Distillery manager, Keith Cruickshank, and infamous whisky blogger, Ralf Mitchell, commonly known as Ralfy, have signed the bottle of Benromach single cask for a charitable auction being hosted by Scotch Whisky Auctions, who has kindly agreed to waive their auction fees.Read more

Gordon & MacPhail, owners of Benromach Single Malt Scotch Whisky, is sponsoring the National Theatre of Scotland’s successful production The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart, in the company’s first major venture into the arts.
