The money was raised after a unique and collectable bottle of signed Benromach single cask whisky was sold for £500 in an online auction.
Benromach Distillery Manager, Keith Cruickshank, was joined by Simon Paterson and Graham Millar from Findhorn based Moray Inshore Rescue Organisation (M.I.R.O) who are an independent rescue service manned entirely by volunteers, at the cheque presentation.
Keith Cruickshank and infamous online whisky commentator, Ralf Mitchell, signed the bottle of single cask Benromach for the charitable auction, which was hosted at the Scotch Whisky Auctions in November.
Simon Paterson from M.I.R.O said: "We would like to thank the winning bidder, who was from Belgium, and I hope he enjoys the whisky. We also really appreciate the continued support from Benromach"
Mr Cruickshank added: "We are thrilled the auction raised so much money for M.I.R.O, a local charity, based only a few miles away from Benromach Distillery. The gives M.I.R.O vital financial support for the great work that they do across the region.
"It was a very unique bottle of Benromach single cask whisky that was sold at auction; hand bottled for Ralf Mitchell at our distillery, and is the only bottle to be bottled at that exact point in time so we are pleased it was such a hit with collectors and whisky enthusiasts across the globe."
