Benromach Gives Spirited Backing to Moray Film Maker

Large_Moray_FilmmakerBenromach Distillery, makers of Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is giving spirited support to young Moray Filmmaker, Anna McPherson.

Anna, 30, from Hopeman, Moray will leave for Nepal on 16th April on a three-week trek to produce a documentary film, to help raise the profile of The Nepal Trust’s charity work.

The Nepal Trust provides integrated rural development in the far North West of Nepal in order to create community projects that emphasize local participation and responsibility.

Anna said: “I am delighted that Benromach Distillery is supporting this project. My film will cover the Trust’s amazing build works in remote areas of the northern Himalayas from; hydro-electric boards to much needed health clinics. Many of the remote communities in this area are fighting for survival on a daily basis and depend on the work carried out by the Nepal Trust.

“The support of Benromach Distillery means that I will be able to hire superior equipment and capture film quality footage of the charity’s work.”

Keith Cruikshank of Benromach Distillery said: “We are pleased to offer Anna our full support.  Benromach is about challenging the norm, a sense of adventure and individual expression - qualities we feel we have in common with Anna.  This makes for the perfect partnership.  And of course, our gift of a bottle of Benromach 10 years old will mean she has the ideal companion for after a hard day’s shoot!”

Anna won Best Short Film in the recent Moray Film Festival (supported by Benromach) and has also been involved in producing a music video for the SAVE RAF Lossie campaign song ‘Born To Fly’.
