Benromach Vintage 1974 (40%) Single Speyside Malt Scotch Whisky (no longer available)
From our stocks of mature whiskies, casks distilled in 1974 were selected to compliment the 15 year old bottling. This vintage has since been replaced by the 1973 bottling.
  
Tasting note – Benromach Vintage 1974 (40%)
Colour: Golden-topaz, lambent.
Nose: Fruity-stewed apples and cinnamon, evidence of sherry ageing.
Palate: Fruity with cedar wood notes.
Body: Mellow.
Finish: Bitter dark chocolate.

Tasting Note by Jim MurrayJim Murray is a legend and leading player on the world's whisky stage. He has even branched out from writing about whisky to now being a consultant blender as well.
After more than a decade of research and discovery he became the world's first full time whisky writer in 1992 and won the coveted Glenfiddich Award each of the three times he was entered for the competition.

Jim is the author of a dozen whisky books, his latest being "Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2004".

Comment: A delicate flower lacking any sort of ‘ooomph’.
