Colour: Deep amber with tawny hues.
Nose (undiluted): Sweet fruitcake aromas with malty notes and red berries and brambles. Hints of dark chocolate, with cinnamon notes.
Palate: Sweet with rich, summer fruit aromas - blackberries, blaeberries. Some coffee grinds and burnt fruit also present.
Nose (with water): Different fruit aromas - soft fruits (strawberries). Hints of roasted malt and a herbal, earthy note.
Palate: Rich fruit flavours - blackberries and plums heading towards dried fruits - raisins and sultanas. Some malty spiciness.
Body:Smooth and rounded.
Finish: Drier, slightly tannic.
Cask type: First Fill and Refill Sherry Casks and 22 months in Port Pipes.
Whisky style: Rich with a complex character - the port influence is well integrated.
