A unique Single Cask bottling of Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, produced to celebrate the 80th Forres Highland Games, was launched at the Benromach Free Family Funday on Sunday 4th May 2008.
The unique single malt is bottled at 45.7% (80 proof) to mark the 80th Games. Bottled from a single sherry cask, this fine single malt is hand selected. The sherry notes complement the rich and elegant character of Speyside. Only 330 bottles will be available for sale, with £5 from every bottle sold being donated to the Forres Highland Games.
Located on the outskirts of Forres, Benromach is Speyside’s smallest working distillery. Only two experienced distillers hand craft Benromach using the finest Scottish barley and pure spring water from the nearby Romach Hills. Specially selected casks are then filled with the ‘new make’ spirit before being left to mature at the distillery for many years.
Forres Highland Games came in to being on 5th of October 1927, after a Public Meeting was convened in the Mechanics Institute (Town Hall) for all those parties that were interested in the revival of Amateur Athletics in and around the Forres District. A Committee was formed and the first Games were held on the 21st of July 1928 in Grant Park Forres under the title of the "Forres Sports Day".

Each bottle will come with its own certificate endorsed by Keith Cruickshank, Benromach Distillery Manager and Mike Scott, Forres Highland Games Secretary. The product will have an RRP of £45.00 - £49.99.
The 80th Forres Highland Games in association with Benromach Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky will be held on Saturday 5th July 2008.
