Benromach Lat 57° Single Cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been launched. The special commemorative bottling has been produced to mark the partnership of Benromach with the Glasgow: Scotland with style Clipper in the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race.
Benromach Lat 57° Single Cask has been named as such because the bottling strength is 57% ABV; representing the same latitude as Benromach Distillery. Bottled from a single sherry cask, this fine single malt is hand selected.
Benromach Lat 57° Single Cask is the third bottling released in the Latitude Series. The first latitude bottling, Benromach Lat 53° Single Cask (the bottling strength represents the same latitude as Liverpool), was launched to coincide with the start of the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race from Liverpool on 16th September 2007. Benromach Lat 55° Single Cask (the bottling strength represents the same latitude as Glasgow), was launched in November 2007.
Liverpool was host to the start of the Clipper 07-08 Round the World Yacht Race. The fleet of yachts will stop at 14 ports en route before returning to Liverpool in July 2008, as part of the City’s European Capital of Culture Celebrations.
Each bottle of Benromach Single Cask Lat 57° will come with its own certificate endorsed by William Ward, Chief Executive of Clipper Ventures, Liz Cameron, Vice Chair of Glasgow Marketing Bureau and Keith Cruickshank, Benromach Distillery Manager. Benromach Lat 57° Single Cask will have an RRP of £45.00 - £49.99 and will sell worldwide. Five Pounds from every bottle sold will be donated to the RNLI.
